| Major Update #6: Battlefield Changes, New Map, and Family Based Progression | 2026-03-18 | Hi everyone,Localization was updated, and judging from reports from QA and Discord, the latest Beta looks stable enough to be brought to the Main branch. From the looks of things, the next update will come relatively soon and will contain a pathfinding refactor with multiple optimizations + multiple bugfixes and some balance tweaks. After that, the current plan is to do an update to the construction process (including a new church level), and then we're back to the development of Perks. I'm back from a 3-week vacation, first proper one since I started the game in 2017 (I did a few trips before but always worked from a laptop anyway - not this time). Of course in the meanwhile the team was working hard, main focus was a pathfinding refactor that's still ongoing, but also as usual, we prioritized bugfixes.For now, a new BETA version is available as the priority was to stabilize the previous version into the main branch. | New BETA version is available for testing (0.8.059) | 2026-02-16 | Hello everyone, A new beta update has been released on the Beta Branch. It adds a new Burgage Plot Level 3 with its own models, requirements, and effects, moves the previous Level 3 look to Level 4, and changes progression so Settlement Level now checks for Families rather than built plot levels. Twin Lakes has also been added as a new map. Beyond that, this patch includes changes to Ox guiding rules, AI behavior, balance adjustments, UI and text updates, a large number of bug fixes across multiple systems, and performance gains that should be noticeable in larger cities. Labor of Love is what we've chosen, as the development of this game has been such a journey of love since its beginning. We're so close to delivering the next version of the beta update released last month, but we've still got some final polishing and testing to complete.
