| Patch 1.5.8 | 2026-07-08 | Bugfixes- Fixes made to Steam cloudsaves- Crash fixes- Fixed audio glitch where sometimes the raiding sound didn't play while in that stanceModding- Added extra logging for the map editor so you can tell what is breaking your mapLocalization- Updated localization, fixed a few reported spelling errorsVisual- Fixed the X button for widescreen for the Sejm and Swedish reforms- Fixed the Rise of Frederick UI in widescreen- Fixed incorrect colors of the general's bodyguard uniform buttonsGameplay- Updated the "Defenses Needed" encounter to provide a lot more thalers if you provide a cannon |
| Patch 1.5.7 | 2026-06-22 | Campaign Changes- Swedish death march attrition is now 0.75% instead of 1% per day to make it less punishing in the late-game Battle Changes- Artillery damage per hit reduced by roughly 10%. Artillery accuracy (chance to land a hit) has not changed, but each successful hit now causes slightly fewer casualties. For example, a bombardment that previously killed around 45 men should now kill closer to 40. This should make artillery-heavy AI armies feel less punishing at scale and give smaller or less gun-focused army builds a better chance against them.Fixes- Improvements made to game stability, fixes for crash reports |
| Hotfix 1.5.6 | 2026-06-17 | Hotfix- Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause the game to get stuck on the loading screen when beginning a campaign fighting against the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth |
| Patch 1.5.5 | 2026-06-14 | Battle Changes- Grapeshot and canister shot now consume about -20% less ammunition- Artillery now takes slightly higher morale damage from all sources of gunfire- Artillery damage radius against enemy artillery crews increased by ~15%. Near misses are now slightly more likely to clip nearby crew members, meaning shots that land just beside a gun position have a better chance of dealing some damage.- Artillery now deals double damage to other artillery. Recent reductions to fire damage have improved musket combat balance, but made counter-battery fire too ineffective. This change should make it more viable to damage enemy guns before advancing |

| DLC Unlock Bug Fixed | 2026-06-04 | DLC Nation Selection Bug has been fixed. It looks like the game was checking to see if you also had the free "Imperial Banner" DLC enabled, and if you didn't, it wouldn't let you play with the DLC.I'm deeply sorry for the mistake, we'll make sure to test more extensively in the future to ensure mistakes like this don't happen again.Griffin |

I also put in a limit of 10 stacks for the “reform the infantry/cavalry/artillery/hetman” just so it doesn’t break the game if you’re playing on infinite mode and repeatedly passing that reform.- Polish cavalcade’s cavalry stamina doubled buff is no longer conditional on being in command radius, the cavalry now simply |

| Update v1.5.0 "Cold Steel" | 2026-06-01 | Philosophy Behind this UpdateHey everyone! This is our largest update to Master of Command yet. Alongside a major free update packed with new features and content, we’re also releasing a new DLC that adds two nations to the game: Sweden and Poland! Sweden and Poland each come with completely unique gameplay mechanics. Sweden introduces the Military School, while Poland brings the Polish-Lithuanian Sejm government system. I’ll explain both systems in more detail later in the changelog. Since the Scorched Earth update, we’ve also been closely monitoring your feedback and making improvements to balance, pacing, and overall gameplay. Combat shoul |

| Update v1.4.0 "Scorched Earth" | 2026-04-11 | Philosophy Behind this UpdateThis update reworks much of the game’s pacing in battles and campaign. For battles, we’ve made charges less extreme, and melees slower. Ranged combat has also slowed down, as accuracy has been reduced on muskets as well as morale damage from volleys. For the campaign, the overall goal was to slow progression in the early-to-mid game, and speed up the late-game which can often drag. Because of this change, you can expect it to take longer to build up your army. At the same time, we’ve lowered the amount of units the AI is fielding proportionately to the player. This should have the effect of making the battles a li |

We plan on getting Sweden added to the game before the end of May!Localization Changes- Major bug fix where translations would break for new users playing on the 1.3 build- Fixed some inconsistent wording in item/skill descriptions where sometimes it would say “Melee Damage +5%” or “Charge Damage +5%” instead of just saying “Melee +5%” or “Charge +5%”- Fixed spelling error with “Kurtbayern” musketeers who should be called “Kurbayern” musketeers Map Changes- Some map fixes where there were was missing terrain dataUnit Changes- The gener |
| Patch v1.3.1 + New Roadmap! | 2026-03-03 | Campaign Changes- Possibly fixed a bug where you could receive two of the same doctrine rewards- The drilling stance no longer uses ammo to train the units who are already max veterancy 9 in your camp- If you take the experience gain in the post-battle screen, it will no longer disperse the experience equally among units who are already max veterancy 9, and instead give it to the units who are not at max veterancy- “Local Guides” doctrine was not revealing the encamped armies alongside the settlements like it said it would do, this has been fixed. AI Changes- The threshold for the AI to break out of its defensive stance while using the defens |
| Update v1.3.0 "War Council" | 2026-02-28 | Hey everyone! This is the final update as part of Season 1 content. We're a little late (this update was meant to drop in January) but we had taken some time away after the HRE DLC to take a break. We will return to monthly updates and next week I'll be sharing our Season 2 roadmap with you!AI UPDATE- New AI personality system. This is the first implementation, so there’s still some more work I want to do in the coming months. Essentially, each AI army now has a random personality associated with it which will influence its combat behaviors. Notice in the image below on this army there’s a shield. This means it will utilize a defensive stance |
| Short Delay to January's "War Council" Update | 2026-01-15 | Short DelayHey everyone! I just wanted to give you a head's up that the "War Council" update, which was due in January, is going to be delayed until February. The update will change some of the AI behaviors, and that's not something I want to rush out. The team is also a little spent after having just released the free Holy Roman Empire DLC right before Christmas, so right now we're working on some bugfixes and ironing things out from the previous update before jumping straight onto new content/features.You can see the roadmap here. I think it was a little ambitious and didn't leave too much room for testing and bugfixing, so that's something |

| Patch v1.2.2 Shop Bugfixes | 2025-12-20 | Okay this will have to be the last patch for now. We realized the shop buying/selling had a couple of bugs and some of the town conditions weren't working properly, so it should all be fixed now!CAMPAIGN CHANGES- Some of the settlement conditions were applying the wrong price modifiers. So a place that was meant to have a discount was increasing costs and a play with increased costs was applying a discount. This has been fixed.- Hearts & Minds doctrine fixed- Salary Reduction doctrine fixed- Fixes where sometimes your items would be valued at “0” to be sold unless you closed the shop window and reopened UNIT CHANGES- French gendarmerie charge |
