| Has WolfQuest Affected Your Life? | 2026-04-21 | We are writing an article about WolfQuest and want to include some anecdotes about how the game has affected players. If you have any such stories, we'd love to hear them! Anecdotes can range from simple (the game once inspired you to do a school report about wolves) to life-changing (the game influenced your decision to study wildlife ecology), or anything in between, including unusual and unexpected impacts. We're especially interested in responses about the game's "think like a wolf" focus, but we expect that the most interesting responses will be those that we can't even imagine. Please send your anecdote in an email to this address: stor |

| Collaring Wolves | 2026-04-02 | So much of what we know about Yellowstone wolves is from the radio collars that biologists put on them. Every winter, Yellowstone biologists go out and collar some wolves. (It's easier to spot wolves against the snow, without the cover of vegetation, and often there's some deep snow on the ground to slow the wolves down.) Using a tracker airplane to locate the packs and a helicopter to dart individual wolves, this is quite a production for the biologists and quite a scene for the wolves. The biologists not only size and place the collar, they take blood samples and many measurements. All the data produced from this effort has had led to incre |

| Server Maintenance Saturday Night | 2026-02-28 | The WolfQuest server will be offline for awhile tonight for upgrades. It will go offline at 2am Eastern Standard Time (U.S) / 7am UTC. We expect the upgrade to take 1-3 hours. The server should be back online at 5am EST / 10am UTC at the latest. Game accounts will be offline during this downtime, so you will not be able to login to play multiplayer or earn achievements. This upgrade is necessary to ensure that we have enough server storage space for all the new player accounts and saved games from recent months. We apologize for the inconvenience! |
| Tower Fall Trivia | 2026-02-26 | Now that the Tower Fall DLC map has been out for a month, let's take a peek at some of the behind-the-scenes stories about a few elements of the map. With over 30 collectible objects across the existing maps, it's getting increasingly hard to think up new collectibles for new maps. So during our last trip to Yellowstone, we wandered around the Tower Fall General Store in search of ideas. That's where most of the Tower Fall collectibles originated: wolf and bison plushies, the Junior Ranger hat, a game about animal scat, and a Yellowstone-themed wine bottle. The giant plastic ice cream cone was partly inspired by a real (though smaller) displa |

| Achievement Art Time-Lapse | 2026-02-12 | In case you missed it: We released the Tower Fall DLC map two weeks ago! We love seeing all the comments and screenshots about the new map on Discord and Steam. We also love hearing how much folks like the Tower Fall achievement icons. As in the past, those were created by Jessie Clarey-Berthiaume (aka Loach, our community manager), and Rolin Serna, a longtime WolfQuest player and artist who created some achievements for the Saga, and also the gorgeous splash screen illustration in the game. Like many of you, I'm fascinated by the artistic process, so I'm delighted to share this time-lapse video that Loach made while creating the Fuzzy Friend |
