| Cryo Fields Creature Gallery | 2026-02-12 | Hello Riftbreakers! In this week’s article, we are going to take a look at the (literal) meat and (figurative) potatoes of the Cryo Fields biome - the creatures that inhabit the area. Let’s take a look at the creatures that you will face in battle in the free World Expansion IV update. You can use the buttons on the sides of images to cycle between the regular, Alp |

| The Things We Never Had to Fix in The Riftbreaker | 2026-01-30 | Hello Riftbreakers! In game development, almost everything starts as a placeholder. When we look back at the early days of The Riftbreaker, many systems, mechanics, and assets barely resemble what you are playing today. Ideas were tested, broken, reworked, or scrapped entirely. That is normal. Game development is a dynamic process. Almost nothing is good enough on the first attempt, which is why openness to feedback and iteration are key to achieving good results. However, some things surprised us. Some ideas worked almost immediately. They survived prototypes, demos, public playtests, and years of post-launch development. They stood the test |

| What Changed Since 2018 | 2026-01-22 | Hello Riftbreakers! February 2026 will mark eight years since we began work on The Riftbreaker. It has been a massive chunk of our lives, and an exciting journey - one that we’re glad so many of you decided to join. When we started the project, we never expected that we would have the privilege of still developing it so many years later. A lot has changed since the beginning. Many of our ideas didn’t withstand the test of time, while others evolved into the solutions you know from the game today. In this article, we’d like to share a bit about the original vision for The Riftbreaker and how it compares to the game as it is today. Today's arti |
| What We Learned in 2025 | 2026-01-15 | Hello Riftbreakers! Welcome to 2026! We are still pumped after all the chaos and excitement that the events of last year brought us. As you already know, we are planning to open the year strong - World Expansion IV with Open Campaign mode and an all-new ice biome, which we have decided to call Cryo Fields. We have already completed a significant amount of work, as you can see in our Survival streams on Twitch. With such a head start, you should have the new content in your hands within a very reasonable timeframe. Still, we have learned not to make promises, so no ETA just yet. One of the new loading screens for the Cryo Fields biome. Just a |

| Dedicated Server Experimental Release | 2025-12-11 | Hello Riftbreakers! We have a new experimental update ready for you. This time, the main course is the addition of a standalone Dedicated Server app, which lets you host Co-Op sessions for The Riftbreaker on a separate PC.
