Exo One now fully verified on Steam Deck!2024-12-14While Exo One has run pretty smoothly on the Steam Deck for a while, it's been a bit of a stop start affair behind the scenes getting it fully verified and bug-free. While Steam verified us back in May, that version of the game broke some foliage rendering, and we lost some subtitles and voice from one of the planets as well. Given we've had our heads down getting the Exo Rally demo out, we had this on the back burner till now. We're happy to share that we've made significant progress addressing these bugs, and the latest update should bring a more polished experience to Steam Deck players. We're continuing to monitor performance and make adj

We just revealed our new game, Exo Rally Championship, at PC Gaming Show 2023!2023-06-11Hi folks, I’m absolutely pumped to finally reveal my new game, Exo Rally Championship, to the world. Just debuted it as part of PC Gaming Show 2023, but in case you didn’t catch it there, here’s the reveal trailer: I’ve been working away on this for a good while now with Rhys Lindsay and Mark Billington on board to make up the full Exbleative team. Rhys was responsible for Exo One’s stunning soundtrack, and now brings his programming skills as well as his musical talents to the table for Exo Rally. Mark contributes with his math and physics skills to help with vehicle simulation. Exo Rally Championship is the galaxy’s most dangerous off-road
Level Select update! Midweek madness!2022-02-07Hi folks, It’s been a little while since my last update - I took some much-needed time to have a little break over the holidays, and to generally sort out Life Stuff™ following the madness of launch. Alongside all that, I’ve also been working away on some new features for Exo One, and I’m very happy to finally say that, after much testing and tweaking, those new features are now live in-game. The centrepiece of the update is the new Level Select feature, which has been the most-requested feature ever since the game launched, so it feels great to finally have that delivered. The Level Select will appear once you’ve completed the game for the f

Exo One: Patch Update #12021-11-21Hey folks, 4 days out from launch, and it's all been a bit of a whirlwind, I gotta say! EXO ONE is out now!2021-11-18Well here we are, that probably fleeting moment where we're happily finished but there's still yet to be any bug reports or negative reviews posted haha. For now, I can happily say Exo One is OUT NOW! I truly hope you'll enjoy playing Exo One! I know it's not perfect but one of my biggest goals has always been to create a unique game unlike anything else you've played, and I think I've succeeded there to some extent at the very least! I was lucky enough through developing Exo One to take inspiration from some of my favourite games, films, tv-shows and create my own unique thing. I love sci-fi and space - I grew up watching Star Trek with my b
Exo One launching November 18!2021-11-11Oh hai, Our 5 year journey (whoops!) to create Exo One is almost over! Exo One finally has a release date - it'll be out on November 18th, exactly one week from today! Here’s the release date announcement trailer! After so many delays and thinking we've been finished for at least a full year, it's hard to imagine Exo One will soon be complete and released, and then I need to get used to the strange new reality of not working on this game! We’ve had our hopes set on November 18th for a while, but I didn’t want to announce it earlier in case some last minute setback threw everything into confusion. I brought on some extra help at the beginning

Explore the first planet of Exo One during the Steam Festival2020-10-07The Exo One demo is now available! This is a SHORT demo - only about 7-10 minutes of gameplay, depending on how quickly you pick things up - and is just intended to give people a first little taste of Exo One. I’m pretty much developing Exo One solo, so I had to keep things short so I could keep my focus on the main game! :D Exo One is a single-player, interplanetary adventure game where you pilot an alien craft capable of manipulating gravity, and this demo gives you the opportunity to get to grips with the game’s main mechanics, and take a first-hand look at the game’s very first alien planet. You can play the demo with keyboard and mouse o

New Monolith Planet gameplay video!2020-04-08Hi everyone, As Exo One is getting closer and closer to being finished, I wanted to give you a closer look at the Monolith Planet: The Monolith Planet is a kind of summation of all the best parts of Exo One - cloud surfing, water skipping, structure riding, speed boosters and wind currents. While other planets show hints of structures and an alien civilization, this one has players traversing colossal floating structures joined by a blanket of cloud. For a more detailed, longer gameplay video in better quality, plus info about the new beta for Kickstarter backers as well as a general development update, check out the latest Kickstarter update
Exo One playable at PAX Australia in one week!2019-10-03Only 7 days to go before Exo One will be playable at PAX Australia! If you're going, look for me and the game at PAX Rising in the Expo Hall, I'll probably be wearing my black Exo One t-shirt! If things are going spectacularly and it's hard to get on and play the game, you'll also be able to visit the SA Government's booth, which will have a pod with Exo One on it, thanks very much to the people at DTTI for that - I barely had to lift a finger and boom! I'm in two places at once at PAX! What can you expect in the PAX build? I was tossing up between a couple of planets and settled on including three - the first tutorial planet, sandy-snowy Sag
