We've tracked down the issue to the launcher that starts up before the game, it has now been removed. I'd appreciate to hear if this issue has been resolved (for the people who had the game crash) Other than that, update also has a few minor bug-fixes. |

| Chapter 2 Patch 1.3.4 | 2019-01-23 | Hey everyone! We've been working very hard to find and fix as many bugs as we can. Fixes Opening the ring altar after beating the Hotel erases save file. Secrets not unlocking in the Extras Menu. Watchers moving while being in camera view. Replay mode not unlocking properly. Other minor fixes. Some of the bugs that are harder to catch are the ones we can't reproduce ourselves, so we're very thankful to all of you who report them and let us know by showing footage. | Chapter 2 Patch 1.3.2 | Resume Button | 2019-01-22 | Hey everyone, I'm trying to address the black screen issue after school, as well as the resume button disappearing after beating school and hotel not showing up in the replayable levels list. I pushed a patch that tries to fix all of these. Apologies once again for the inconvenience, and thank you for your support! EDIT: Patch 1.3.3 is now out, this should fully fix the black screen after school. I tested it with the Steam build myself. |
| Chapter 2 Patch 1.3.1 | Major bug fixes! | 2019-01-22 | Hey everyone, We would like to apologize for any inconveniences caused by the bugs that came with the new Chapter 2 release. Save Corruption I have tracked down the save corruption bug, it was present in the Hotel level and is now patched. I advise everyone to start a new game to make sure that your save won't get corrupted. School End Cutscene A bug was also present at the end of the school level where a cutscene didn't play right, this has also been fixed now. Level Up Bug The player received incorrect amounts of XP after clearing the school level, this has now been fixed. Ring Altar The ring altar sometimes would not close correctly. This |
| New Release Date & Devlog #4 | 2019-01-14 | Hey Everyone! Dark Deception Chapter 2 is only a few days away. The Chapter 2 release was delayed from Jan 4th to make some fixes. We have not announced an official launch date yet, but barring a last minute catastrophe, it should be on Steam by the 21st or sooner. In the meantime, to help tide you over Devlog #4 is now up on Youtube! | v1.2 Achievement Update. | 2018-12-08 | Hey everyone, we've released an update for Chapter 1 that adds Achievements and a custom mouse cursor. If you already got S rank for Hotel before this update, the achievement should unlock as soon as you get to the title screen. Nikson and I are hard at work on wrapping it up and making improvements based on feedback from Chapter 1. That said, we are targeting a late November/early December release for Chapter 2 and it will retail for $6.25 USD. You will also have the option to buy the full game in advance at the discounted price of $19.99.
