There is a character reset today due to the experience system changes outlined below. This week, we’re bringing in some additional planned changes to experience progression. PTR Week Three Update2026-05-20Today’s PTR Patch Notes can be found here. For Week Three, we’re building on the momentum of the first two weeks of the Public Test Realm (PTR). Dev Diary: Fashion Upgrades for Spellcasters2026-05-15For some time now, players who enjoy robe-wearing classes have given us feedback that our spellcaster robes just didn’t look very good. We agreed with that assessment. We’re pleased to announce that as part of the Combat and Progression update, we will be doing something about that.To fix the problem, we needed to rework the way we are building armor for player characters. The old way we were building armor was contributing to a number of visual problems when trying to make it work across different races, many of which our community has reported as bugs over the last year. Full-length robes are especially tricky due to the way that they inter

Combat & Progression Update - More Features2026-04-24Hi everyone! This week we wanted to share some more information on several different aspects of the upcoming Combat and Progression Update. This is a big update for the game, and there are a lot of different pieces to it that are being worked on in parallel. Anyway, here’s some updates on the update! When PTR?We don’t have a date for the Public Test Realm that we can share just yet. What we can share is that we are in the final stages of testing the infrastructure that you all will use to connect to that server. That doesn’t just include the server and its database, but also the client and the methods that players will use to get that client –
Combat & Progression Update: Mail System Overview2026-04-17What does a mail system have to do with Combat and Progression, you may ask? Honestly, nothing and everything at the same time. While the mail system doesn’t directly impact your combat or adventuring progression, it does enable you to more easily trade that sweet, sweet loot that you’ll acquire during your adventures – whether that’s sending your guildmate a shiny item or transferring some crafting materials to one of your other characters. Our new mail system for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is just about ready for testing, and so we wanted to give a quick overview of some of the features.First, a disclaimer: The screenshots you are about t
New Screenshots for Badia de Cara, a New Zone Coming with the Update this Spring2026-04-10The Port of RulunThe Port of Rulun is located on the southern edge of the Silent Plains, and is one of the only major ports on the continent of Kingsreach. Operating outside the authority of Thronefast and its soldiers, the port is populated by a variety of colorful characters – travelers, pirates, merchants, and others all mingle within its streets. We are still working on building out this port town and adding more details, but here’s an early look at some of the areas within it:Most trade in the Silent Plains comes through the Port of Rulun’s gatesAs one of the few deepwater ports on the continent, Rulun is equipped for larger shipsCreature

As a reminder: what you see reflected below is meant to be a high-level conceptual overview of where we are taking each of these classes. Details on the Upcoming Paladin Class Refresh2026-03-31Continuing from the Warrior last week, today we are taking a look into the upcoming class refresh for the Paladin. As a reminder: what you see reflected below is meant to be a high-level conceptual overview of where we are taking each of these classes. Many details, like the level or skill requirements and effects for the different class and mastery abilities, are expected to change and fluctuate as we go through testing before the update releases. We are looking forward to everyone’s feedback once our public test realm is available, to help us with dialing all those details in so that each class feels fully realized, distinctive, and fun to
Combat and Progression Progress Update – Warrior Class Overview2026-03-27Hi everyone,As part of the Combat and Progression Update, we are updating each of our adventuring classes. This isn’t just adding Mastery for each class, but it also includes looking at the skills they use, their base ability kit, and even their special class mechanics as well. Not everything is going to change, and many aspects of the classes will feel familiar, but our goal is to get all of our classes to a point where they are functionally complete with their full intended kits from level 1 to level 50. We’re also using this opportunity to address some long-standing challenges that have made it difficult to balance our content and to produ
Progress Update – Combat and Progression: Armor and Resists2026-03-20Hi everyone! We’re here with another progress update for you this week as we march towards the Combat and Progression Update. In this dev diary, we want to talk about what should be a very important part of combat: mitigating damage. In Pantheon we have two basic ways to reduce incoming damage. Armor, which helps you mitigate incoming physical damage, and resistances, which help you mitigate incoming non-physical damage. These two types of mitigations work both for players and for NPCs. Both stat types are primarily tied to equipment (although they can come from buffs as well) and should be one of the main reasons for players to consider upgra
Progress Update: Combat & Progression – Attribute Changes2026-03-13Hi everyone! We hope you’re enjoying the Ability Loadouts feature, the Nightfall Crypt and our update to the Summoner class. We’re continuing to watch the feedback on each of those things, but now that they’re out, we’re going to be shifting more of our focus to preparing for the Combat and Progression update coming up in the spring.Today we wanted to share some changes we are making to character attributes in that update to help support better itemization for the game, and to help make the attributes a bit more intuitive for everyone. Just to help prevent any confusion, when we use the word “attributes,” we’re talking about core character st
Update 0.18.3282026-03-05Summoner UpdateThe summoner class has received a major update and restructure of its abilities. Players will now begin the game with access to the Fury pet and the Zephyr pet, and skillful control of the pet will be emphasized during combat. Highlights:Fury and Zephyr pets are available starting at level 1, with upgrades every 10 levels. The Zephyr is a melee-oriented, Rogue-like pet, while the Fury is a spell-oriented, Wizard-like pet.The Undine is available starting at level 20, with upgrades every 10 levels. The Undine is still the only pet that can be out at the same time as either the Zephyr or the Fury. The Titan pet is currently unavail
Dev Diary: Ability Loadouts2026-03-02Hi everyone! We wanted to take a moment to talk more about the Ability Loadouts feature that’s coming to the game in our next update. We think this is something that will be very useful for many of you, so you can think of this dev diary as sort of an “instruction manual” for how to use it.Why Loadouts, and why now?One of the fundamental aspects of our combat system is the idea of a limited action set – the concept that you won’t always have access to every ability that your character knows in every combat situation. Our goal with that limited action set is twofold: First, it adds an element of strategy and preparation to our game’s combat by
Combat & Progression Update – Progress Report2026-02-06by NepheleHi everyone! You may remember that before the holidays, we released a series of dev diaries talking about everything that we have planned for our Combat and Progression Update coming up this Spring (or this Fall, if you live in the southern hemisphere). Since then, we’ve talked a bit more about how the design for the Mastery system has been evolving. However, we wanted to give you a more complete update on what we’ve been doing and how that effort is going. Let’s dive in!Mail System and Market SystemA few weeks ago, we finalized the detailed technical requirements for the mail system and the market system. This documentation is what
Dev Diary: The Vision Behind Pantheon’s Mastery System2026-01-30by JoppaPantheon: Rise of the Fallen has always been built around a few core pillars: strong class identity and meaningful player interdependence. These pillars have guided nearly every major system decision we’ve made, including the upcoming Mastery system, through which we’re taking a critical step forward in how players can express their class. This step has raised questions, sparked debate, and prompted requests for clarity around why we’re taking this direction. This blog is about that “why.”The Question We’re HearingA version of this question has come up consistently since the recent Reddit AMA:“Will classes be hard-locked into one role,
Dev Diary: February's Summoner Update2026-01-27Pantheon Community,Today we deep dive into the Summoner class, looking at many of the upcoming changes designed to improve the clarity of the Summoner fantasy and overall feel of this iconic class. Let’s acknowledge first that if you’ve played the Summoner for any length of time, you are probably aware that the class is currently… lacking. Common complaints from the community have centered around the boring and cumbersome swarm mechanic, subpar pet performance, a host of unused abilities in the spell book and a general lack of feeling like a master of summoning. In our upcoming Summoner refresh, slated for February, we aim to tackle all of th
