In September of 2025, Nukearts registered the trademark "Hidden Cats" in the USA, with a claimed first-use date of 2022. These past few days, they filed a trademark infringement complaint with Valve, listing many games that include the words "Hidden" and "Cats" in their titles, including all of my games. | Historical Sites DLC! | 2025-01-13 | Welcome to 2025! This year, I plan to bring the game to the same standard as some of the more recent games I released, which include multi-step zoom, changeable background color, and so on. With this planned update, I'll also release a new DLC: Historical Sites. It will include three new levels: Notre Dame, Louvre and Palace of Versailles and 300 new cats. I can't tell you when exactly yet because I'm currently working on Cats Hidden in Japan and afterwards I'll have to finish Cats Hidden Around the World 2 but I'm hoping to release the DLC and framework update this summer. Hundreds of thousands of you have played my games this year, a number which is simply unfathomable to me. The almighty algorithm has decided we are worthy, so not only can the achievements now be showcased on your profile but I was also allowed to add community items: badges, emoticons and profile backgrounds. The following update mainly contains bug fixes for people who play with a controller (1.20% of you! :D): Fixed a bug where panning with 3x zoom active while playing with a controller would sometimes not scroll all the way to the edge of the picture. New icon for the cat meow volume setting since the old one was not clear enough Fixed a bug where seagulls would only make a sound when the timer mode is deactivated Fixed a bug where the cursor would change to the hand when over the position of the zoom icon while in-game Regarding the Steam Deck support, which also includes gamepads in general, there is currently a slight issue with the panning that sometimes requires zooming in and out to explore the whole image.
