| [ BREAKDOWN ] Shell Types | 2026-06-04 | In combat, understanding the shell type used by your vehicle can be just as important as positioning, timing, or target selection. Every tank comes equipped with its own default shell type, and these are part of the vehicle's overall combat role and playstyle. Different shells perform best depending on their targets and combat situations. Some are intended to penetrate heavy armor directly, others are more effective against lightly armored targets. Certain shells may focus on utility effects, while others are built around maximizing direct damage. Shell performance is driven by multiple factors, including armor angle, penetration values, dist |

| [ BREAKDOWN ] How Visibility and Spotting Work | 2026-05-12 | If you read our last Breakdown on How Stats Work, then you've seen the Garage side of HEAT. This one is about the battle itself, and what actually happens during a fight. You'll get to know how visibility works, including spotting, identification, stealth, the Traced effect, and how to use them to your advantage. Visibility controls what you can see, what your team can see, and how much combat information appears on the battlefield UI. Sometimes you may physically see an enemy vehicle with no marker above it. Sometimes a teammate identifies a target and shares useful information with the team. Sometimes you are the one trying to stay hidden l |
| [ BREAKDOWN ] How Stats Work | 2026-05-07 | Welcome to The BreakdownAs you read in our latest article, the Closed Beta has brought in loads of data and numbers, along with notable points of focus. It has also highlighted a few areas of the game that were unclear and generated a wave of questions from your side, ranging from UI/UX issues to gameplay mechanics that were not so self-explanatory. For this reason, we're kicking off with a short new series to clear up those gray areas, one topic at a time. Let's call it The Breakdown. Reading the stats menuFirst on the list are the stats themselves, what they represent, and how they work under the hood. We'll go through them one by one in th |
| The Numbers Behind the Closed Beta | 2026-05-07 | The Numbers Behind the Closed Beta May 1, 2026 | HEAT Team The Closed Beta is over. We finally got to the numbers behind it, and they've got a lot to say. Over the course of the test, the battlefields always stayed packed, and some vehicles clearly became a little too popular for their own good. Fighting styles and strategies were constantly evolving, from cautious early experiments to full-send onslaughts that pushed the systems harder than intended. It was a great reminder that once players start experimenting, new patterns emerge fast, and sometimes in ways that are impossible to predict. It just takes thousands of battles happening all at |

Scheduled downtime — 21.04, 06:00 UTC (~60 min) Servers will be offline for about an hour to deploy the progression unlock. Some brief instabilities may follow during the day as we conduct more technical backend testing.
