Our team has been head-down working away on post launch support for 1.4.5 and we really think everyone is going to enjoy what is coming soon in Terraria 1.4.5.7. Come on nature, make up your mind! On a serious note, work on 1.4.5.7 continues unabated. As we mentioned previously, this post launch fix update is heavily focused on balance. | Wave 2 of Terraria Chibichans - Preorders open until April 17 | 2026-03-18 | Just before the end of 2025, we started taking preorders for the second series of Terraria Chibichans. We wanted to share that the preorder window will be closing on April 17th, 2026. Series Two features the Jungle Biome, with appearances by the Zoologist, Witch Doctor, Bee Armor, and more. | Terraria 1.4.5: Bigger & Boulder - Available Now! | 2026-01-27 | Happy launch day, Terrarians! At long last, today is the day: Terraria 1.4.5 is here! What better way to kick off the year of Terraria's 15th Anniversary, right? We know the wait has been a long one, but we hope that everyone enjoys what this latest update has in store. As always, we will be posting any hotfixes or important information regarding Terraria 1.4.5 here in this launch post thread, so you will want to keep an eye on this one for sure. | Terraria 1.4.5 - the Launch Date Revealed at Last! | 2026-01-14 | Greetings, Terrarians! As we mentioned in last month's State of the Game, things were looking up for a January 2026 release. We did have to resubmit a few things, which pushed us back a bit further than expected. However, and to keep this short and sweet, we are happy to share that... TERRARIA 1.4.5 WILL RELEASE ON JANUARY 27TH! One filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, but through it all we remain so thankful for all of you Terrarians - and even more excited for what lies ahead. Our teams are taking a small break today and tomorrow to spend time with friends and family (and generous helpings of turkey, dressing, and more). | Terraria State of the Game - October 2025 | 2025-10-30 | Greetings Terrarians! Happy Halloween from all of us to all of you! Halloween has always been one of our favorite times of the year - especially when we get to see all of the crazy costumes, creepy decorations, and creative pumpkins that Terrarians put together each year. So, whether you entered the annual Halloween Contest or not... please be sure to share your spookiest creations with us! On the development side of things, we do have some more clarity on timing to share this month. We have one foot already into the Fall season - our favorite season of the year! - and we are drawing ever closer to the release of Terraria 1.4.5. More on that below. We are also getting really close to the release of the Terraria Board Game in November. The end of the year is setting up to be quite eventful indeed! | Terraria State of the Game - August 2025 | 2025-08-28 | Greetings Terrarians! August was quite an eventful month for Team Terraria. We are well into the final push for Terraria 1.4.5 (for real, more on that below), and tickets are flying through the system. Several members of the team were also able to get together in person this month for the first time in many years - and for the first time ever with some folks. We have also been able to take care of a lot of planning for "what comes next" that will hopefully make for more consistency down the line. More on that in the future. All hands remain on deck in regards to Terraria development. To get the tough part out of the way first, we still do not have a release date to give out. Every day is one day closer, of course, but we are trying to remain overly cautious and conservative in regards to giving out any timing. We do not want to repeat the mistake of giving out a timing window and then have things change and it not be accurate. Everything is greening up, flowers are in bloom, and the allergies are off the charts!
